The Staying Free Podcast

I am joined again by Rick Munn, the host of Locked and Loaded on TNT radio, for a deep dive into the state of journalism and media. Rick, who began as a simple voice of reason amidst chaos, has since transitioned into a role that straddles the lines between journalism, commentary, and personal observation.
Rick elaborates on the challenges of true independent journalism in a world where many are beholden to the interests of their paymasters. He discusses the role of integrity in journalism as well as what individuals can do to live in the truth and the light, and refrain from falling into traps of despair.

In this episode, I discuss how to embrace true freedom and reject the illusions of status that society imposes. Drawing inspiration from a thought-provoking Twitter post by Stack Hodler, I reflect on the manufactured pursuits which society imposes on us, which may appear desirable on the surface, but in fact detract from true personal freedom, self-actualisation, and happiness.
This episode unpacks the stark reality faced by many who climb the corporate ladder only to find themselves trapped in a cycle of unfulfilling achievements. I discuss the powerful contrast between traditional paths to success and the more fulfilling pursuit of control over one’s time and one's life. Emphasizing the new status symbols of today - freedom, health, and family - I share insights on how to achieve these things, and offer an optimistic message about how technology, combined with an intentional approach to freedom, offers us a rare opportunity to return to these timeless pursuits.
Join me as I explore these themes and encourage a shift towards a life centered around genuine freedom and contentment, distancing from societal pressures and embracing a path that truly aligns with one's values and desires.

I'm back from a break with my first solo episode, reflecting on my thoughts and feelings about the world since staring my podcast 2 years ago, having over 100 hours of conversation with other sovereign individuals, and embracing my personal journey towards freedom.

Where does true masculinity come from - and what role does faith play in shaping it? In part two of my conversation with Will Spencer, we go deeper into the questions that cause division, yet also open doors to profound reflection.
